Hopeless Truth - Poem from "The Silent Darkness" by Lisa M. Bello

My true love is one I never had.
I know he makes me laugh instead of cry when rm sad. Whatever I say I know he will understand.
Mine is a love I never truly had.
To look at him is beauty.
With his deep brown eyes.
His caramel skin always brightly shines.
His hair falls upon his face,
Soft and curly like roses upon lace.
And a smile that can brighten the darkest place.
Although our love is forbidden and without hope, His words, love and style, leave me to cope.
With thoughts and embraces and kisses so deep. And him softly talking, talking me to sleep.
Never a word
From his mouth is wasted.
I still remember how his kisses tasted.
So bittersweet like the most perfect berry. For him to not go away I wish very.
